Promote AWARENESS:of self and others, through EDUCATION and learning in order to facilitate the ACQUISITION of new personal mindset skills, and through practice, ensure the APPLICATION of these, for long lasting, effective change and a better life.
I work one-to-one, with small groups and deliver large presentations. All my work has a practical and interactive emphasis.
My coaching is outcome focused, future orientated and consistently directs the attention of my client to "what would you like to have happen?"
The common thread through all my work is ‘state management’ – exploring how we 'turn-up' and how in control of ourselves we are. Quite simply, if you understand how thoughts, feelings and behaviours affect your outcomes, you can take control of your life. Mastery of this will bring a more effective and happier existence at work, in school, in sport, in life!
I have trained and qualified in a wide number of disciplines which enable me to offer my client a bespoke approach.
We all get 'stuck'. We all have problems. Often we don't even know what the problem is. Sometimes we don't even know what we want.
Maybe you just feel out-of-sorts and have done for a while. Maybe you are fearful, Maybe you are holding beliefs about yourself that just aren't helpful any more. Maybe you have a limited sense of yourself. Maybe you are overwhelmed with the stuff of life.
In some way or another, you are stuck - not where you want to be? Have unhealthy habits? Stuck in your career/relationships?
There is a barrier - something you want but you can't seem to achieve it.
It doesn't have to be like this.
Motivation, confidence, mindset, attitude - it is all about SKILLS- something you can learn. Change and growth is available to you if you want it.
So I take you into the stuckness and quickly focus on changing patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving, using skills so that you move towards what you want, rather than what you do not want..
I help you to be more proactive, to get moving, to take control back and have a new sense of agency.
Feeding off my 24 years of experience in Schools, I now work 1-2-1 with students from year 5 upwards. I also run workshops and assemblies with groups (small and large).
Coaching around the topics of anxiety, self-esteem, confidence, managing anger, focus & concentration, working towards an important event (interview, scholarship, sports event etc)
The beauty of the 121 process is: privacy, confidentiality, non-judgement, no peer pressure, shared status - these allow a student to speak and be heard. They can be really honest. They can really focus on what it going on, on the inside.
Workshops with groups or whole years on themes such as: self esteem, managing failure, getting to know yourself and others, inductions, effective communication, becoming a student mentor, coping with exam stress, etc.
ALL my work has a practical emphasis - kids like to move! My coaching might involve going outside, taking on a challenge, or playing a game.....all geared to self-learning.
Have a look at what happens when I coach in school (Copthorne Prep)
I work with individual athletes who perform at recreational level, school level, senior level and national level.
Timothy Gallwey tells us
'Performance = Potential - Interference'.
.....'Interference' mostly comes from self-sabotage...and your self-sabotage is your own unique blend!
Joseph O'Connor tells us
"Bodies do not compete, people compete - with their body, mind and emotions"
All athletes know they play their consistent best when they are balanced on the inside and outside, optimistic, self-aware and trust themselves..
